WHAT IS COLLYWESTON ROOFING?

Collyweston slates are laid in diminishing courses. This means that the slates get smaller with each course, with the smallest slates at the ridge line and the largest at eaves level. The stone slates are laid using the double lap slating method. This means that the slates should overlap the slate in the course next but one below by two or three inches (head lap) and each slate should also overlap the slate in the course below laterally by about half of its width.*

Thank you for sensitively restoring our roof, it will surely stand the test of time and remain as a fine example of your work.

Thank you so much for doing such a lovely job on our Collyweston roof. Your professional, meticulous approach, great time keeping and reliability are refreshingly unusual. You have left our house looking immaculate with all the inevitable debris  cleared up and taken away. The roof looks stunning. We are delighted. We are also delighted that the amount you charged was modest and you found no hidden extras so the bill was exactly what you said it would be, Thank you – your money has now been transferred by BACS and will be in your account.

You deserve to succeed and I am sure, given the service that you have provided for us, that you will.

It’s refreshing to meet a craftsman like Jack Wakefield. Not only is he highly experienced, he is extremely hard working and completely honest. He’s also the most competitive Collyweston roofer in the area by a big margin. We engaged Jack in mid June in to strip and replace a large section of our Collyweston roof which was leaking and in a terrible state of repair. He has done a fantastic job, and quite honestly has been a pleasure to have with us over the past couple of months. As well as being on time and on budget (with no hidden extras) we always had the feeling that Jack had our best interests at heart. That’s a rare quality, particularly in the dark art of Collyweston roofing. We wish Jack every success building his business, and cannot recommend him highly enough.
